When will is stop?!?!?!?!?!

Seriously!! Gas is OUT OF CONTROL!! It's a good thing people come and visit me in St. George because I can no longer afford to drive to SLC! So it has been nice knowing all of you wonderful people, I probably won't see you again until I move back up. Yep, gas is that much down here in St. George, $4.05 a gallon. By the beginning of July.... $5.00, that's what they are saying! When is this madness going to STOP!? (I have to fill up today!)

"The Brooke Jensen Scrapbooking Foundation"

I recently worked on some scrapbook pages, I decided that I really do like it. Because I'm so busy, I decided that now would be a good time to scrapbook my Europe trip. (that was only a year ago!) My darling mom bought me a few things to get started, and Heidi donated a few things to the "The Brooke Jensen Scrapbooking Foundation". Now here is where the the rest of you scrapbooking fools come in, if you have anything you don't really use and would like to donate, I would happily except ANYTHING!!! Seriously I don't have much so I will take anything! When my masterpiece is completed I will show all of you my wonderful work. The joke in the Jensen family is that the girls aren't creative until after they have had sex. Seeing is that is the boat I'm in, WISH ME LUCK!

THE CHURCH IS TRUE!!!!!

Well enough of my Debbie Downer posts, no one comments on them and I love comments. It's been a rough past week adjusting to my new life here in St. George. All week I was looking forward to my new ward, a way to finally meet people. Sunday rolled around and I found myself dreading church, I starting thinking of every possible bad thing that could happen. I sucked it up and was TEN minutes early. I walked in and was met by a happy welcoming bishop, he got my information and made me feel like I had been in the ward for months. The sweetest most humble Polynesian conducted sacrament meeting, he was adorable, although a little difficult to understand through his thick accent. Sacrament meeting was good, although to be honest I didn't get a ton out of it because I was scoping out possible prospects. (they are a few) When the meeting ended I had no idea where Sunday school was, I seriously thought about leaving. No one would have noticed. Just as I was going to leave a girl came up to me and said, "You're Brooke, right?" I have never seen her before in my entire life, she introduced herself and told me where Sunday school was. ( I later found out she is the Relief Society president) I made my way to Sunday school and sat in the back row, I know I put a lot into meeting new people. I sat next to a girl and her boyfriend, after Sunday school she introduced herself to me informed the Relief Society was in the same room, and got to know me. The Relief Society lesson was really good, and I loved the girls there. They were all so nice and welcoming! Many prayers were answered yesterday, and I'm so grateful for that. I think I'm really going to like my new ward. I love that no matter where you go, what ward your in, or who is teaching, the gospel is always the same!

Wishing I had friends...

I had the BEST roommates ever this past year, saying goodbye to them was tuff stuff! I realize even more now how lucky I was to have them. I miss our late night talks about nothing of real importance, the times we would laugh oursleves to tears, and all the times I had a shoulders to cry on. Being down here alone has been so trying for me. (Although I've gotten more sleep in this past week then I did all last semester) I'm hoping that I'm going to find friends down here, I have no plans for this weekend, and no one to even make plans with. I'm sure someone will come along, I'm hoping SOON!!!!

Paige and Morgan

Amy and her girls made the trek to St. George yesterday, kudos to her, she even came with sick kids! Last night after work we went and got In-N-Out Burger, and then back to Amy's parents house (which is so nice). Oakley was sick so I didn't play with her much, but the twins were so much fun. They were all laughs last night. I was playing with them and I had to run out and move my car, when I came back in they were crawling their way to the door to try and find me! Morgan figured out how to play "peak a boo" last night, she thought it was SO funny! (that's what she is doing in the picture) I love these girls, due to my St. George status I don't get to spend much time with them, last night was so much fun to have some one-on-one time with them.

Cleaning house.

This is my sweeping pile of "stuff" from my JUST my
bathroom. This was my mop after cleaning just my bathroom.
GROSS!!!!
I moved into a fairly clean apartment, so I thought. Last night I decided to sweep and mop my bathroom and kitchen. I was disgusted with what I found! I was better off not knowing what germs, grime, and dirt was lurking in my apartment.

Wishing I had something fun to blog about.

Today has been extremely boring! Our systems are down at work, leaving me with nothing to do. Believe it or not, surfing the web all day gets really old! I don't have anything excited to report on, or anything exciting in the near future to report on. (Unless Heidi and Amy come down tomorrow) I have to go buy a broom tonight, that sucks, oh and a mop! DUH! I hate spending money on stuff like that! :( Oh well, I heart a clean apartment. Well that about sums up my exciting, or not so exciting, life in St. George!

My Best Friends

Today we went to lunch for Bridget's birthday. We went to Asian Star, so good, but the company was the best. It didn't take long until we started talking about the funny things that have happened to us. It made me realize that almost anything fun or funny in the last couple of years was with these people. I have been so lucky to have these friends, we have had so much fun together over the years. We all have our corks, but I think that is the reason we all get along so well. We have all had our good times and our bad time, regaurdless of who it was, we always knew we would have each other. I have the BEST friends ever!!

A bitter sweet end.

I have been in SLC for the past week "working". I have a lot of time to spend with my best friends. Believe it or not it's been kind of hard being around them. It's so hard knowing that they will all be up here together, while I'm the only one away. Despite that, we had so much fun this past week together, my friends never cease to have fun doing literally ANYTHING!!! Tuesday night we played ultimate frisbee, I'm sorry no pictures from that, but it was a lot of fun. Wednesday we went to Jump on It. It's a warehouse that has a ton of tramps in it, it was so much fun, and a surpriselying good workout. Thursday night we went 80's dancing at Area 51, we all dressed up, it was so much fun!!! Friday night we had a BBQ pool party at Andy's house. I have been so lucky to have the amazing friends that I do! Good friends truly are a blessing. Although I know I have much learning to do this summer, I'm going to miss spending the summer with my best friends. It's hard knowing what I'm missing out on, but I wouldn't trade this past week for anything!! Thanks to all of my wonderful friends.
We barley met the weight limit!!
Socks and tramps are a bad idea!
We hope to be in the circus someday! Dream BIG!
Andy loved that I was representing Skyline, so he felt the need to document it.
80's night! We were lookin' fly!
Me and Andy, I know, I know, I look really cute.
The whole crew, we were quite the sight to behold.
Meagan, need I say more?!

The Many sides of Brooke

While Jill was constantly yelling at me to "be normal", think we captured many sides of Brooke on this vacation. Who knew there were so many, including myself!?
"The Religious Brooke"
"The I love a man in uniform, Brooke"
"Rock and Roll Brooke"
"Tarzan Brooke"
"American Gladiator Brooke"
"The always elegant Brooke"
"The VERY tired Brooke, after a week in New York"

"The talk show host Brooke"
"The Preferred Guest Brooke"
"Brooke and her identical twin"
"The Catty Brooke" MEOW!
And last but not least, "The always creative Brooke"

My men of NYC.

My men in uniform!
Jason Taylor
Ashley Angel Parker

Although there were many highlights of the Big Apple, I would have to say the men were up there. Anyone who knows my at all knows that I'm a total sucker for men in uniform, there is nothing more attractive then a man in uniform. As luck would have it, it just so happened to be fleet week in NYC. Meaning sailors and marines were legit ALL over New York, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Every where I looked I could find men in uniform!!! YAY!!! I did however find a few more love interests back there. Second being Jason Taylor, he was the NFL man of the year last year, he was also on Dancing With the Stars. I got the chance to meet him after Live with Regis and Kelly. He is cute!! Third was Ashley Angel Parker, he was Link in Hairspray. Oh man... he was too cute!!! Although I met all of these attractive men, they all had one thing in common, they forgot to ask me for my number!!!

New York... In a Nut Shell!

BEST FAMILY EVER!

Today as I have been at work reading everyones blogs, I have been so overwhelmed with the love that each sibling has for one another! From a Happy Birthday post, to funny comments, to giving someone a pat on the back, or being a voice of reason, all the way to consoling advice. We are so lucky to have each other! Even though I live 250 miles away from everyone, I feel so connected. I love that the siblings are always so excited to see each other's new posts, and the bond we have through the blogging world! I will be the first to admit that this is a little cheesy, but I just wanted everyone to know, I have the BEST FAMILY EVER!
