Lack of things to blog about...
I wish I had something really fun and exciting to blog about, trust me I got nothin'! I'm working 8 hours a day, going to class for three, and about two hours of homework. Fun right?! Oh throw in a little bit of Annie, and 30 minute runs and you have a typical day in the life of Brooke. Everyone please, try not to be so jealous, it's not healthy! After this weekend I'll probably have something to blog about, after all tomorrow night we are having a G.N.O. (girl's night out, if you read seriouslysobless.blogspot.com , you'd understand!) I think we are going to dinner and then going to see House Bunny. I'm pretty excited, I've been dying to see that ever since I saw the first preview. Anyways life is busy and crazy and I'm trying to adjust! So if I don't blog for another week please forgive, I'm doing this whole "college" business, BOOO!!! Also please don't worry about the Princess situation, we are still going to be friends despite work, school, and Christmas (Annie, that's what Jamie wanted to call her. Whatever it takes to keep Jamie happy!) So that's the current update on my life! Stay tuned for more boringness.

Lucky me...
This morning I was talking to my friend Julianne, her boyfriend left on his mission today. I was giving her the typical "how to endure" advice, and it hit me! She has over two years to go, and I have 7 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I remember hating those girls that had a few months until there guy was home, now I'm one of those girls! So everyone please put April 11th on their calender! This is going to be BIG!!!!

Any excuse to go to Vegas....
Well as most of you know Jacob is in Vegas for a medical convention. I figured since he was so close I had no excuse not to go visit. So last night Ben and I drove down to Vegas after work. We met up with Jacob and headed over to the heart of the strip. We went and ate at The Cheese Cake Factory, so yummy! I figured while I was there I should start working on my "50 things do to list", so I decided to gamble. I put a whole dollar in the penny slots. I enjoyed every minute of it! After my short lived Vegas glory we walked over to the Bellagio and watched four of the water shows. SO GOOD! I could sit and watch those all day! Then we walked up through the Bellagio to the atrium, and to see the worlds largest chocolate fountain, pretty impressive. After that we called it a night. It was so much fun being in Vegas with two of my most favorite guys!
~
I had so much fun spending so much time with Jacob. He is one in a million, and it makes me miss him even more! I was lucky to be able to spend as much time with him as I did!
Serioulsy so blessed...
Ok, so princess introduced me to this new blog. It is my new favorite kill time at work. It's seriouslysoblessed.blogspot.com It's a spoof of Mormon blogs. I'm not sure who writes it, but they must be one witty person. It's a blog mocking young (20-30) Mormon girls who are obsessed with blogging. (ironic) She is convinced her life is THE BEST and she is "Seriously so Blessed". It's funny because reading it I can think of a few blogs that I have read that are really like this. If you have time it really is worth reading! It makes me laugh out loud everytime! Good stuff!

I have a few thoughts.... (even though it's not Friday)
I realized a few things today...
1. I'm not very nice a lot of the time!
2. I tell myself all the time that I don't want to date, I don't want to be in a relationship, and I don't want to get married! All lies! (except the married thing) I really do want to date, and I do want to be in a relationship.
3. I am my dad's child through and through (And that is NOT a bad thing)
4. My job makes me feel smart. How many 19 year olds do you know that understand how credit works?
5. I get bugged far to easily!
6. I really really really miss my sisters! Oh and my nieces and nephews!
7. I think I'm pretty 85% of the time.
8. I worry far to much about things I have NO control over.
9. Whenever I walk out of my room and it's clean and I always stop and the door and think, "My room is really cute!"
10. Sometimes it surprises me the people that read my blog. Actually I'm surprised anyone wants to read it.
11. Being down here this summer is the hardest thing I have ever done!!!!!! Looking back on it I'm very grateful for the things that I learned, and the people God put in my life to help me along!
12. I'm such a blessed person! I don't know why I ever complain, I have absolutely no room too!
13. Sometimes I get so frustrated with people and can't figure out why. Then I realize, they are just not doing things the "Jensen" way! Silly them!
14. I'm grateful that my Dad taught me to look problems in the face and say, "I can and will do this! I don't care how hard it is, it could always be worse, and I WILL do this!"
15. I found a box full of notes my mom has given to me over the last year. Some were mailed, some were attached to Easy Mac, and some were even hidden in the pockets of my jeans. It made me realize, I want to be JUST like my mom!
16. Most days when all is said and done for the day, I lay in my bed and think, "How do people ever get through a day without the gospel!?"
17. Blogging takes a lot of guts. I never realized how much you put yourself out there!

Finally Thoughts for Friday
You know all week things come to me to write for this, by the time I sit down to write it, I can never remember them. Here's what I have....
-I've been broken up and stayed broken up for almost two months now! I've done really good not talking to him, I haven't spoken to him in over a month! Does anyone have any idea how freaking hard that is!? (Try being in tiny St. George with no friends!)
-I miss Amy comments on my blog! AMY COME HOME!
-I'm so so so so excited for Jake to come next weekend!! (oh and Mom, Dad, and Jen)
-I finally got my camelbak (pictures to come on that!), I wore it around my apartment last night. HAHA I'm a freak!
-I have zero plans for this weekend! I want and need friends so badly!
-Annie moves down in two weeks! Seriously I don't think I could be any more excited.
-My ticket hasn't magically paid it's self or gone away. I've had the bathroom fairies, where are the ticket fairies.
-School starts in two weeks, WAY not excited!
-Brad comes home 8 months from Monday, seriously where has time gone?
-My roommate Nicole moved out Tuesday night, moved back in an hour later, then moved back out again Wednesday night. Is that weird to anyone else?!
-I had to go to the UPS shipping yard, talk about feeling out of place!
-I have had the longest worst case of PMS this month, and I'm really way sick of it!
-I wish everyday was pay day.
-This has been the absolute longest week of my life! Why can't it be 5:30!?
Ok, I know this round is totally lame, but I'm tired, irritate, and ornery!

My Bitter/Sweet Evening.
I recruited Ben to go to the Washington County Fair with me tonight. Although the weather was far from perfect we still had a lot of fun. We played a few games, got some grub, and enjoyed all the white trash folk. We didn't stay for to long because it was rainy and windy. Driving back Ben was trying to take my picture, so clearly I wasn't paying attention to my speed. Well as luck would have it I passed a cop going 78 mph in a 55mph. Perfect right?! Well Ben didn't have his seat belt on, when the officer asked him why he didn't Ben's response was brilliant, "I never wear my seat belt!" Seriously!? Ben got out of his ticket, but I certainly didn't get out of mine! He was kind of nice and only wrote me for 20 over meaning, I only have to pay $157 instead of $232. So that put a damper on the night. After my sad speeding experience, Ben and I headed over to Mom and Dad's house so I could take a picture of the carpet. After a brief photo shoot, and a quick toast, (we found drinks in the fridge) we headed to Arctic Circle to try and dull my pains. Then we just hung out the rest of the night. Moral of my story don't speed! Tickets suck!

My Magic Apartment.
Something very magical happened while I was at worked today. I came home to a perfectly spotless bathroom! I was so confused, I know I didn't clean it and Mikell (who I share my bathroom with) is in Salt Lake. I texted Nicole to see if she did it, and she said no. The more I looked at my bathroom I decided someone had to have cleaned it, I called her and she swore to me that she didn't. She said that some ladies came and did it today. I have no idea who these people were, why they did it, or how they got in. But hey I'll take the magic cleaning elves any day! Needless to say it made my day, and I love nothing more then having a clean bathroom! I just hope they make this a weekly occurrence cleaning my apartment room by room! (I don't think these pictures to the bathroom justice! It smells clean, feels clean, and looks amazing! Heidi you would be in clean bathroom heaven!)

I must confess!
I felt like my post about fasting was a little misleading. Although I did fast until 6:30 last night, I'm not as righteous as you all think I am. I was supposed to meet with my bishop at 4:45 last night, well 5:00 rolls around, then 5:15, then 5:30, then finally at 5:40 he comes out of his office! He only talked to me for about 15 minutes and then sent me on my way. Well lets be honest, almost an hour late on a fast Sunday, I was NOT a happy camper. The whole time I sat there I was so mad, and trying to be kind of loud so he would hear that I was outside. (Well as loud as one can be by themselves!) By the time I left I was so iterated that I waited so long for what seems like such a stupid interview. I knew I didn't have much (ok any) food at my apartment, so I decided I was already probably gluten for punishment because I had such a bad attitude about waiting, I decided that I should probably stop at Cafe Rio on my way home. So I did, in the back of my mind I was kind of thinking, " hope it tastes gross so I won't break the Sabbath again". Oh my gosh!!!!! I honestly think it was THE BEST Cafe Rio I have ever had! YUMMY! Princess read my blog and made fun of me that I was getting all these compliments about being righteous, when in reality I really wasn't! So now I'm setting the record straight, don't be proud, or look up to me. I am not a good example and you shouldn't look up to me! Sorry to disappoint you all!

Fast Sunday
OK, some days I forget to eat breakfast and even lunch. (Really busy days at work.) Some days I have to make myself eat breakfast and even lunch. However when fast Sunday rolls around I wake up starving and thirsty! Today I woke up absolutely parched, I went to get a drink and I remembered it was fast Sunday! I think God makes us extra hungry and thirsty on fast Sunday. OH, and my block starts at one today, then I have a bishop's interview right after! Oh man, I'm hungry!

And my thoughts are...
Another week has already come and gone! I have had many thoughts this week, so without further adieu,
-Is there anything better then snuggling down in your blankets after a long day?!
-Today I put on khaki pants and a downeast shirt, and I thought to myself, "What did I ever do before I owned these?!" LOVE that feeling!
-I got another new roommate this past week. I really like her. (in a very non-gay way!)
-I made a killer fun-fetti cake yesterday. (I ate some of it before we even sang to Nicole!)
-Budgets are WAY over rated!
-I always wish guys would hit on me, but as soon as they do, I hate it and think it's super awkward!
-Brad has been gone for 16 months on Sunday! Do you know what that means? Only 8 months left!
-It's August! (what happened to July?!)
-Jill finished her summer semester today! YAY JILL!!!!!
-Jenny starts high school this month! Is that weird to anyone else? She is too little, I was 3 times her size going into high school.
-Once again, I wish the church had a special tithing program for college students!
-I was doing really good with operation get skinny, and then yesterday happened.
-Seriously I don't know how Ben does anything without me (including getting dressed)! Yesterday he called me from the grocery store to ask what kind of sunscreen he should get! HELLO!?
-Yesterday I watched TV for the first time in weeks!
-I think I might end up being one of those creepy cat ladies when I'm older.
-I think I have maybe met Kristin once, but she is my favorite "stranger"!
-Isn't blogging crazy that you can know so much about a person without really meeting them!
-I never thought the day would come, a little girl called me "Lady" yesterday! I'm not a lady, I'm still a girl!
-My eyes are to far apart!
Thats it for today! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
