I got in an accident.

Well last night I got in my fist go cart accident. Andy, Annie, and I decided to head over to Fiesta Fun for some fun. We originally went to go to the driving range, but soon decided go carts were a much better idea. After we got the "this is not bumper cars" lecture we were off to the races. Clearly that lecture didn't sink in with Andy and it quickly turned into "bumper cars". On our last lap my cart spun out knocked me into the side, flung me over to the other side, and then back over to the other side of the track. Now, I know what your thinking, it probably didn't hurt that bad. False, it hurt so bad! The harness around my neck gave me the worst rope burn (as shown in the picture, although it doesn't do it justice!) I got some serious whip lash, and some killer bruises on me legs. A guy watching ran over to Andy and told him to get me to the hospital because he thought I broke my collar bone. Well thankful I didn't, and all I have to show is a hickey lookin thing on my neck. ( I promise it's not!)

My life in pictures.

Sorry for the lack of personal pictures! Here are a bunch of pictures from the last week or so. There isn't much explanation behind them, sorry. However, I hope you enjoy!
While I was in Salt Lake I wanted to see the mountains while they were all colorful, so Mom and I drove up Little Cottonwood Canyon and went on a little hike. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!
I love, love this picture! BEST MOM EVER!!!!!!!!
The camera was on self timer, I think this was try number 5. "Are we in it?"
The colors were beautiful!
"I'm flying Jack, I'm flying!"
I decided to give the contractors a break and get down and dirty!
My little friend Annie is always taking pictures, this is me getting ready for work.
Andy and I eating some yummy Samurai 21, just prior to The Office. (Which I happened to absolutely love! But that's a whole other post!)
Me and Andy killing time during commercials.

A poem for the day...

My life is but a weaving
Between my God and Me
I let him choose the colors
He workth steadily.
Ofttimes He worketh sorrow
And I, within my heart,
Forget He sees the pattern
While I see only part.
The dark threads were as needful
In the Weaver's skillful hand,
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He had planned.
Not till the loom is silent
And the Shuttles cease to fly
Shall God unroll the canvas
And explain the reason why.

Just an update....

Well another great weekend. My mom, dad, and Jenny came down Friday night to see the current status on the yard. I had a lot of fun being with them. We tried a new restaurant down here it's called Twentyfive Main (http://www.twentyfivemain.com/) it's really yummy. It's a little cafe with sandwiches, salads, pasta, and cupcakes. (Jamie you would love it!) We did some necessary shopping, and had fun just being together. Saturday night Ben and I headed down to Vegas to try and find me a swimsuit, that was total bust. I came home with nothing. We had a yummy dinner at Cheese Cake Factory, I'll tell you what, it never disappoints! We are worse then old people, by about 9:00 Vegas time we were ready to call it a night and headed home. I'm sorry my update is boring and contains no pictures. I'll work on a more entertaining update, although I'm not sure what it will be about, work, school, or maybe working out. Geez the options are truly endless!

I just LOVE this guy....

Yesterday day wasn't one of my finner days. I has having a pitty party for myself, really missing the family, and wanting to be home. (keep in mind readers, that I have not had one of these days in a long time!) I was sitting in my room minding my own business when my phone rang. I looked to see who was calling, and to my suprise it was my big brother Jake. I was really excited to see he was calling me. We talked for about twenty minutes about life, work, school, and being on the "enternal slow track". After our twenty minute small talk converstaion he told me the real reason he was calling was to tell me how much fun he had a couple weekends ago while he was in the always lovely STG. He told me he was just looking at picutres and he wanted me to know how much fun he had, and that he really enjoyed being with me! Honestly it was the pick me up I needed yesterday. It amazes me how the Lord always knows what you need and works through his other childern to bless you with it. I was so grateful to hear from Jake yesterday, it made me miss him even more!

What is wrong with me!!!!

So I'm trying to figure out what my problem is. Last night I was upset/mad about a few things, and it just about triggered every other emotion in body. It wasn't just one thing, it was EVERYTHING! Work, school, money, friends, time, you name it! I got so worked up over everything that I was physically sick, so much to the point that I was throwing up! I can't get myself to eat, every time I try I start heaving. Something is wrong with me and I can't figure out what it is. This problem is continuing today, I was actually excited to go to work today because it would help get my mind off the things that are stressing me! Diet Coke hasn't even sounded good today! I think that I a HUGE red flag that I'm not up to speed. Does anyone have any ideas about what is wrong with me and how to fix it?!

The Truman Show....

This morning when I was getting in my car to go to work, I realized that everyday for the past week that I've seen the same guy pushing the same cart, in the same place. Having watched the Truman Show on Saturday, it made me think. I'm living the Truman Show, maybe minus the fact my life is a show, or is it?! I absolutely love life, but I feel like everyday I go through the EXACT same routine, and do the exact same things! So minus the background music, perfect love story, and everyone being in on a crazy conspiracy, I'm living the Truman Show!

And yes, this is what I did this morning in the mirror!

Chocolate fight!

We had a nice Sunday dinner, and this is how it ended! Chocolate fudge turned into a full fledged fight! Ben looked like he was black by the end, and he loved every minute of it! Annie and I still have crusty hair due to the amount of chocolate that Ben put into it. Even though it was mess, it was pretty freaking fun!

It has been awhile....

I haven't done my thoughts for the week in awhile, and I've had quite a few this week. So here you are...
-Why is it that we always try to say the thing that hurts the other person most, and then feel horrible two minutes later!? Why can't we just be A. Nice, or B. Be mean without feeling bad!?
-Crying ALWAYS makes me feel better about things, after a good cry my mind is ready to think.
-Why do I go to school?
-I'm going to Vegas tomorrow, YAY Andy!
-Guys continually prove my theory that they are DUMB!
-My best friend at work is 10 years older then me, married, with two kids (and one of the way). Funny how you become friends with the least likely of people.
-I'm so blessed!
-My miss my nieces and nephews so much! I can't wait until the first weekend in October to see them!
-Being poor is ZERO fun!
-Homework is boring.
-Work it really busy today, in fact so busy that I read Trent and Amy's ENTIRE blog! Thank you DFCU!
-I go to California in less then a month!
-I'm down TWO pants sizes.
-I'm going to make a roast on Sunday, if you want to come, let me know.
-My hair is in the ugly in between stage, hence the reason it's been in a ponytail all week.
-I really really really love comments on my blog! (hint, hint!)
-Forgiving and forgetting is such a hard thing to do! Any suggestions?!
-If I were a flower growing wild and free, all I want is you to be my sweet honey bee!
-LIFE IS SO GOOD!

Someday my Prince will come.... right?!

Living in a college town clearly there are a lot of young adults. One thing St. George is severely lacking is the young "single" adults category! Annie and I counted 9 engaged couples on Sunday, that's right 9! I would feel very confident saying that 95% of the people I know are either: A. In a serious relationship, B. Engaged, or C. Married! I'm confused how everybody is finding their "special someones" and I'm suck with no one! Does that confuse anyone else? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm not ugly, I think I'm kind of fun, ok I'm pretty fun, I work and go to school. Once again my point is proven that guys are lame! So I'll just continue my hope, That someday my Prince will come!

To my loyal readers....

I would like to take this chance to apologize for the lack of blogging that took place this weekend. I had so much to do from, eating lots of ice cream, dressing up, LOTS and I mean LOTS of homework, football, smoothies, and some more homework. Here is a recap of all the events that transpired this weekend. I hope you enjoy it all and are very jealous you don't lead me life!
I'm not really sure what to say about this picture. Courtney was trying to find an outfit for an 80's party, apparently I felt the need to model it all for her. (I know, I look like a man!)
Annie and I headed to go get a shake at Artic Circle. Yummy!
Annie was dying for a picture in this ice cream car, HAHA she didn't fit! I love the random kid with In-N-Out!
I can check this off my list, attending my first Dixie sporting event! After the football games everyone, and I mean everyone, heads to Iceberg for a yummy ice cream treat!
Our position all day Saturday and most of the day Sunday. That's right, I do know how to study!
Ben and I went to dinner and then decided that we should make smoothies. Well that "we" turned to "I". Ben felt the need to take 50 million pictures!
This is my all time FAVORITE picture of Annie, need I say more!? I'm not sure whats going on here, I guess it's the life of a college student. It looks like we haven't eaten in days!
I'm not going to lie to you all, my smoothies were divine!

You want my number, right?

Yes, I did go to the grocery story like this. Annie and I have been watching the US open, we were laying on the ground and we decided that we NEEDED sugar cookies. So..... we went to Harmon's without even changing. Once we found the cookies, we couldn't even wait until we checked out to start eating the cookies. (if you've ever had Harmon's sugar cookies you would understand!) So I did walk around Harmon's in my P.J.'s, eating a cookie, with no makeup. Weird to think no one asked for my number. I guess it just further proves my point that guys are LAME!!

You would think I lived in Alaska...

My apartment is about the same temperature is an ice box. So even though it's about 95 degrees outside, I'm in sweat pants, long sleeved shirt and slippers. Perfect right?

My day (week) has been made!

Friday I did a very STRESSFUL loan for some members of the credit union. This morning while I was working with a different member a flower delivery boy came in and gave these to me. Very confused as to who would be sending me flowers (hoping it some boy who has secretly been in love with me) I opened the card to find it was from cute Bonnie! The card said, "Thank Your for all your help!" How thoughtful! So needless to say it made my day and probably my week. I love random acts of kindness, especially when I'm the beneficiary of them!

Life with Annie...

As you all know by now, Annie is back down in St. George. This was our first weekend to hang out, and let me tell you, funniest weekend EVER!!! Friday night me and all of my roommates went to dinner at Cafe Rio, and then went and saw House Bunny. (Pretty funny!) Saturday we did homework and watched the Utah football game, ok I watched the football game. Saturday night we attempted to have some school spirit and go to the football game. They told us we had to pay to get in because we didn't have our current student sticker, I told them NO WAY and we left. We decided to go get and treat and hit up Spoon Me, really really yummy! We are pretty anti-social so we went back to the apartment and had a photo shoot with our new t-shirts. (most fun I've had in awhile!) Sunday was church, and it was so nice to have company! Today we went and workout together, and then attempted to go skim boarding. They brought their handicap friend (me!) and it didn't end so well. I fell and my knee got really swollen, and started turning colors. So we decided to leave. Tonight we went to family home evening, much more fun having someone to go with. Having Annie back down here is the best thing ever! I'm loving every minute of it!
Spoon Me!
Annie and Brooke getting a lot out of class.
Our new spoon me shirts.
We were having way too much fun with the camera!
The beginning of skim boarding. Hence the reason I still look happy!
