Let the games begin!

It's that time of year again, the Holywar is just about upon us, and I LOVE IT! The Utah, BYU game is more then just a game, it's the tell all of the season. Some would say it doesn't matter how many wins for loses you have for the season, it's matter of winning the Holywar. Red is not just red, and blue is not just blue, those are the colors of your blood! This rivalry runs deep in my veins and I couldn't be more excited for Saturdays game. I think this years it's anyone's game, no one team is superior over the other. The war in full furry at the St. George branch, it's a battle of the U vs. Y. Who will win this year?! What's everyone's guess? Please let me know in my comments who will win and by how much!

The City I love

I am loving this daylight saving business because I love that I catch the sunset as I'm driving home from work. Almost every night they are just amazing, tonight was no exception. Tonight I decided to pull over and take it all in. It only lasted for about ten minutes, but it was ten minutes of sheer beauty.

*Side note I had a wonderful couple of days with my family. I miss them already and I'm counting down the days until they come back!

Thank you Ross Evans!!!

For those of you who watched the game last night you probably just about had a heart attack like I did! it was 4 quarters of Utah sucking and not knowing if Utah was would be able to pull out the win. By some miracle they did, and I think we have Ross Evans to thank! With out him missing not one but TWO ten yard field goals we wouldn't have come away with the win. All I can say is I am so glad I'm not him!! Not to sound to harsh he lost the game for his team not once, but twice! Although Brian Johnson was given the MVP of the game, I think it should have gone to our man Ross Evans!

What has our world come to?!

I don't know who saw the story on KSL tonight about the heat the Church is taking for taking a stand on yes to prop 8. Hundreds of gay and lesbians protested outside the LA Temple today in efforts to prove a point. They were upset because the prop only passed by a small margin due to the money the church members "unwillingly" gave to the church. (so they think!) They now are raising money and for every donation a post card is sent to President Thomas S. Monson letting him know what they think about prop 8. I honestly don't understand why OUR Church is the only one taking heat for this. It makes me so sad to see that our world has literally come to this, it makes me sick. How sad that someone or something that decides to stand up for moral rights is persecuted and degraded. Tonight watching that story I wasn't mad, but my heart just broke. This is a Church and a prophet that I love so much coming under fire for standing up for what is right! I have been so proud to be a member of a church that is willing to stand up for what is right, especially when it's such an unpopular and controversial stand! I hope and pray that the appeal to the California Supreme Court isn't passed, but in today's world who knows. If you want to watch or read the story here is the link http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=4724432 , just a waring it really is sickening to watch!

On a much more positive note, HOW 'BOUT THEM UTES!?!??!?!?!?!

Barack?!

I guess this is the hand we've been delt. I don't know if anyone listened to John McCain's speech last night and I was so impressed with him. I ran for 6th class officer and I lost, I can't imagine how sad John must be! It's was only Park Lane's 6th grade that didn't vote for me, not the entire nation! Here's to living in a free country where we are free to choose! God Bless the USA!

There is beauty all around.

**WARNING DON'T MAKE FUN OF ME! IF YOUR GOING TO DO NOT PROCEED**
Since we switched to daylight savings, I leave work about when the sun is setting. When I walked outside the sky was beautiful. I can't even begin to articulate how beautiful the sunset was. I got in my car and was frustrated because I knew I would never be able to express to anyone how beautiful that sky was. I about crashed 5 times because I couldn't take my eyes off the sky. It was absolutely breath taking, more beautiful then any sunset I've ever seen any where. I finally decided to pull of the road and just look at the sky. I took this picture with my phone and it doesn't even begin to come close to how pretty it really was. It made me realize that being happy in life is about enjoying the small things. Not only enjoying the small things, but taking time TO enjoy them.I also couldn't help but think how much God loves us, he created such a beautiful world with such beautiful things. I have no idea why tonight's sunset had such an impact on me. Looking at the sky tonight I felt completely encircled by my Savior's love, and I was grateful for sunsets!

Time to air my dirty laundry!

Heidi tagged me, It's time to air my dirty laundry. The purpose of the tag is to admit to 8 addictions or guilty pleasures. I have many so I'll do my best to narrow it down. (now readers, we will not be passing any judgement.)
1. First and foremost (like most Jensen Women) I'm completely addicted to Diet Coke! It's scary! If I don't have one my around 11 o'clock, I'm working on a pretty intense migraine. Bad news!
2. The Internet. I'm on a computer all day at work, and then I go home and the first thing I usually do is get on my computer.
3. Music, I LOVE music. I took piano lessons for 8 years, during that time I grew to LOVE music. I'll listen to just about anything, but I always need to be listening to music.
4. This is a really bad one, gossip. Let me explain, I don't like gossipping about others, but I love hearing the dirt on others. Wither is a co-worker, cleb, roommates, or people in the ward. I just love knowing whats going on with other people. Call me nosey! (And I'll probably go to HELL!) Caliree said it best in Steel Magnolias, "If you don't have something nice to say, come sit by me!"
5. Twix candy bars, this is the primary reason I'm still fat! I just love them!
6. Cafe Rio! It is mildly embarrassing, when I go into Cafe Rio down here in St. Geezy, they actually know what I want. I don't' even have to tell them, however that does come with it's benefits!
7. My cell phone, I go crazy if I don't have it. It's something I'm trying to work on, but what if something earth shattering happens and I don't have my phone?!
8. Blogging, anyone who blogs can feel me on this one.
I tag Jamie and Shaleigh! (Shaleigh if this is the last thing I do, I WILL get you to update your freaking blog!!!!!!)

I hate the economy!!!!!!

All this talk about the next "great depression", and economic turmoil is enough to drive a person crazy! I hate checking MSNBC, MSN, CNN, and KSL. All of which is just a constant reminder of the economic disaster that America is now facing. Is it as bad as everyone is making it out to be? Or is this just another media dramatization? I don't know enough of the facts to know wither I should be legitimately worried or not. What stupid mistake(s) were made that put us in this pickle? How do we get back out? Am I going to be getting my next meal from the soup kitchen? I just hate all of this, I don't want to worry about these things! I am seriously concerned for the day (I hope it doesn't) when it directly affects me. (which it already kind of has!) I wish I was a little kid that didn't even know what "economy" meant. BOOO the economy, I HATE you!

Weekend fact...

Fact: I drank almost an entire gallon of milk in 24 hours.
Fact: I completed every task on my "to do" list.
Fact: I watched 3 movies, I still can't get through Steel Magnolias and not cry!
Fact: Friday night I stayed home and did homework.
Fact: Bears beats Battlestar Galactica.
Fact: I went to stake conference! Snooze!
Fact: I made a really yummy dinner yesterday.
Fact: I was at work for 30 seconds this morning and the ridicule started.
Fact: I think I ate more food yesterday then I did all last week.
Fact: I tried to talk to Jake yesterday and he gave me the cold shoulder! OUCH! Thanks Jake.
Fact: I went hot tubing every night.
Fact: I went grocery shopping and I had my ipod in, I was signing down the aisles! LOVED IT!

My fun/exciting/enjoyable weekend...NOT!!!

Usually I have at least one fun thing planned on my weekends, not so. This weekend is a get er' done weekend. Here are the "fun" things I'm going to be doing this weekend:
-study for test
-take test
-grocery shopping
-fitness center
-laundry
-thank you notes
-order/pick up pictures
-write Brad
-clean out my room
I wish this was a "honey do" list for two reason, 1st being I would have a "honey", and 2nd being I wouldn't have to do them. Here's to productive weekends, and being single! CHEERS!

I have an announcement!

For the last little while I've seriously been considering moving home. I've made numerous lists outlining the pros and cons of each situation. I've been very prayerful in the matter, and tried to think of every possible aspect of each decision. I've become very frustrated because I didn't feel strongly either way. I called Dad this morning, and explained my frustrations to him. He told me to make my decision and stick to it, once I decide tell myself it's going to work, and failure is no longer an option. So I have, I'm moving home December 20Th. Since making my decision I feel peace and I don't have any second questions. It's been a very hard choice to make, but I think it's what I should do. I really feel like the Lord let me decide on this one, and I feel really good about my choice. It's bitter sweet. My time in St. George has had many ups and downs, and it's sad to think that my time here is limited. I'm going to make the best out of my next two months down here, and enjoy life! I know some of you probably think I'm crazy, but oh well! So, who's up for a party December 21st!?

Home Tag

I know I got this tag forever ago, but better late then never, right?! My apartment isn't very glamours, but it's home! Here are my top ten favorite things......
This is my very most favorite! I keep all of my favorite pictures on it, a lot of the times when I'm sad and miss home, I lay on my bed and look at my picutres!
My bed!!! I can't get enough of it! I also love all the storage under my bed, and the lamp that you can see in the upper left-hand corner.
I don't know why but I love this part of my room! Family pictures, a Willow Creek statue I got when I graduated young women's, The Efile Tower, and some inspiration!
My desk, I love all of my pictures (I just love pictures period!) my computer, and room to organize! (I also LOVE organization!)
My Annie! She makes living here fun!
My closet may be small, but I have maximized every inch of space I have, and it's very organized I might add. I just really like it!
I love that I have a sink to myself! Not many college students have that luxury, and it's organized!
Me and Miss Salmon spend lots of time here together. It's pretty ugly and not comfortable, but we have together time out here!
Food enough said! The real reason I love it is because Annie is as big of a neat freak as I am so it's always clean! I hate HATE HATE dirty fridges! You could say it's phobia!
Our pantry, it's huge, possible bigger then my room! I may not have much food, but I love having my space!
