I hate the economy!!!!!!

All this talk about the next "great depression", and economic turmoil is enough to drive a person crazy! I hate checking MSNBC, MSN, CNN, and KSL. All of which is just a constant reminder of the economic disaster that America is now facing. Is it as bad as everyone is making it out to be? Or is this just another media dramatization? I don't know enough of the facts to know wither I should be legitimately worried or not. What stupid mistake(s) were made that put us in this pickle? How do we get back out? Am I going to be getting my next meal from the soup kitchen? I just hate all of this, I don't want to worry about these things! I am seriously concerned for the day (I hope it doesn't) when it directly affects me. (which it already kind of has!) I wish I was a little kid that didn't even know what "economy" meant. BOOO the economy, I HATE you!

Weekend fact...

Fact: I drank almost an entire gallon of milk in 24 hours.
Fact: I completed every task on my "to do" list.
Fact: I watched 3 movies, I still can't get through Steel Magnolias and not cry!
Fact: Friday night I stayed home and did homework.
Fact: Bears beats Battlestar Galactica.
Fact: I went to stake conference! Snooze!
Fact: I made a really yummy dinner yesterday.
Fact: I was at work for 30 seconds this morning and the ridicule started.
Fact: I think I ate more food yesterday then I did all last week.
Fact: I tried to talk to Jake yesterday and he gave me the cold shoulder! OUCH! Thanks Jake.
Fact: I went hot tubing every night.
Fact: I went grocery shopping and I had my ipod in, I was signing down the aisles! LOVED IT!

My fun/exciting/enjoyable weekend...NOT!!!

Usually I have at least one fun thing planned on my weekends, not so. This weekend is a get er' done weekend. Here are the "fun" things I'm going to be doing this weekend:
-study for test
-take test
-grocery shopping
-fitness center
-laundry
-thank you notes
-order/pick up pictures
-write Brad
-clean out my room
I wish this was a "honey do" list for two reason, 1st being I would have a "honey", and 2nd being I wouldn't have to do them. Here's to productive weekends, and being single! CHEERS!

I have an announcement!

For the last little while I've seriously been considering moving home. I've made numerous lists outlining the pros and cons of each situation. I've been very prayerful in the matter, and tried to think of every possible aspect of each decision. I've become very frustrated because I didn't feel strongly either way. I called Dad this morning, and explained my frustrations to him. He told me to make my decision and stick to it, once I decide tell myself it's going to work, and failure is no longer an option. So I have, I'm moving home December 20Th. Since making my decision I feel peace and I don't have any second questions. It's been a very hard choice to make, but I think it's what I should do. I really feel like the Lord let me decide on this one, and I feel really good about my choice. It's bitter sweet. My time in St. George has had many ups and downs, and it's sad to think that my time here is limited. I'm going to make the best out of my next two months down here, and enjoy life! I know some of you probably think I'm crazy, but oh well! So, who's up for a party December 21st!?

Home Tag

I know I got this tag forever ago, but better late then never, right?! My apartment isn't very glamours, but it's home! Here are my top ten favorite things......
This is my very most favorite! I keep all of my favorite pictures on it, a lot of the times when I'm sad and miss home, I lay on my bed and look at my picutres!
My bed!!! I can't get enough of it! I also love all the storage under my bed, and the lamp that you can see in the upper left-hand corner.
I don't know why but I love this part of my room! Family pictures, a Willow Creek statue I got when I graduated young women's, The Efile Tower, and some inspiration!
My desk, I love all of my pictures (I just love pictures period!) my computer, and room to organize! (I also LOVE organization!)
My Annie! She makes living here fun!
My closet may be small, but I have maximized every inch of space I have, and it's very organized I might add. I just really like it!
I love that I have a sink to myself! Not many college students have that luxury, and it's organized!
Me and Miss Salmon spend lots of time here together. It's pretty ugly and not comfortable, but we have together time out here!
Food enough said! The real reason I love it is because Annie is as big of a neat freak as I am so it's always clean! I hate HATE HATE dirty fridges! You could say it's phobia!
Our pantry, it's huge, possible bigger then my room! I may not have much food, but I love having my space!

The Thoughts of Brooke Jensen....

I know I've been seriously slacking in the "Thoughts" department. I'm trying to work on it, so here is what I have this week.
-I've been able to be with my Mom everyday for the past week, and I've LOVED every second of it! You people up North be very grateful you get her so much!
-I had the world's best time ever in California.
-I think Disneyland's theme should be "hurry up, to wait!"
-I should have thought of the RedBox idea.
-Tonight Annie and I are having a date night with each other! (that's even better then going on a date with a guy!)
-Annie promised me she "won't break up with me!", thanks Miss Salmon.
-In my time in St. George I have gotten EXTREMELY close with 5 people, I only talk to ONE of those five people on a weekly basis. Losing the people closest to you is WAY overrated.
-I miss my family so much it hurts, and then makes me cry!
-Living with girls reiterates why I never had many girl friends in high school, and still don't.
-I thought high school was over when I graduated last spring (07), false, try living with the Boppsey twins!
-Forgiving and forgetting is SO SO SO hard, and it's a continual process.
-I hear they've got more "Bounce In California"
-If I offended anyone in this post I sincerely apologize, but it is your decision to be offended.

Back to real life....

I just had the most AMAZING time in California, seriously the definition of a PERFECT trip! We had everything from great food, LOTS of laughs, and some outrageous moments! I don't have it in me for incredible post documenting every aspect of out little va-cay, but I do have this picture. I think it fully embodies the Disneyland experience with the three of us. I couldn't have had a better time, and enjoyed every waking second of being with Jill and my mom! Coming back to real life is ZERO fun, but oh well. So here is to wonderful vacations with the people I love most! CHEERS!
P.S. We were to cheep to by the $15 5x7 so we just took a picture of the picture!

Life Changes...

When I moved down to St. George just over a year ago I thought I had life just about figured out. I knew exactly how I "expected" the next two years of my life to go. For some reason I thought I knew a lot more then God did. I would be lying if I said this past year plus has been easy, or the "best time of my life". It hasn't! In fact there have been two many times to count that I have wanted to throw in the towel and give up. I spent many nights feelings alone and inadequate, the darkest times in my life have been in my short time in St. George. There have been many times that I've thought, "Why would God let this happen?" "Or if the church is REALLY true I wouldn't feel this way!" Well it's all been worth it. I've learned so much about myself, who I am, what I want, where I'm going, and so on. I really feel like God makes weak (me) things strong. I've learned so many life lessons on everything from forgiveness, repentance, and gaining my OWN testimony. I still have another 6 months in St. George, and I doubt I will ever look back on my time here and think, "Wow, that is how life as a college student should be!" I will always look back on my time here as the biggest learning experience in my life! I'm sure there are still many hard times to come, but there hasn't been a single trial that I haven't been grateful for! I guess the trick in life is enduring our trials, and later enjoying what we learn through them. My biggest problem is that I thought I could endure these trials by myself, I didn't need help, especially from God! Now I look at anything and think, "I know I can't do this by myself!" The things I've learned down here a to many to count, but I'm grateful for every single one of them. I'm grateful life changes, and that I learn through my trails and mistakes. I'm grateful for the wonderful people that have come and gone in my St. George life. I'm so thankful for the wonderful people who got me through my darkest times! Every prayer I've ever prayed has been answered in one way or another. (Most of them not in the way I saw best fit)

~forgive the soap box! I just felt extremely compelled to share these things! It might sound totally cheesy, so you can take it or leave it!

How bout them Utes?!

For anyone who didn't see the last two minutes of this game, you seriously missed out! I wish I could have been at Rice-Eccles last night. Utah continues 6-0, lets hope they can keep this up!

I got in an accident.

Well last night I got in my fist go cart accident. Andy, Annie, and I decided to head over to Fiesta Fun for some fun. We originally went to go to the driving range, but soon decided go carts were a much better idea. After we got the "this is not bumper cars" lecture we were off to the races. Clearly that lecture didn't sink in with Andy and it quickly turned into "bumper cars". On our last lap my cart spun out knocked me into the side, flung me over to the other side, and then back over to the other side of the track. Now, I know what your thinking, it probably didn't hurt that bad. False, it hurt so bad! The harness around my neck gave me the worst rope burn (as shown in the picture, although it doesn't do it justice!) I got some serious whip lash, and some killer bruises on me legs. A guy watching ran over to Andy and told him to get me to the hospital because he thought I broke my collar bone. Well thankful I didn't, and all I have to show is a hickey lookin thing on my neck. ( I promise it's not!)

My life in pictures.

Sorry for the lack of personal pictures! Here are a bunch of pictures from the last week or so. There isn't much explanation behind them, sorry. However, I hope you enjoy!
While I was in Salt Lake I wanted to see the mountains while they were all colorful, so Mom and I drove up Little Cottonwood Canyon and went on a little hike. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!
I love, love this picture! BEST MOM EVER!!!!!!!!
The camera was on self timer, I think this was try number 5. "Are we in it?"
The colors were beautiful!
"I'm flying Jack, I'm flying!"
I decided to give the contractors a break and get down and dirty!
My little friend Annie is always taking pictures, this is me getting ready for work.
Andy and I eating some yummy Samurai 21, just prior to The Office. (Which I happened to absolutely love! But that's a whole other post!)
Me and Andy killing time during commercials.
