I'm ready!

So it's been a fun, but lonely weekend. Annie and Courtney left to go home on Friday morning, so I've been alone all weekend. Ok I shouldn't say alone, Kason has been nice enough to keep me busy by inviting me to attend his family events. Friday night we drove up to Pine Valley and went to a cute little country steak house, it was freezing, it was 6 degrees when we got out of the car! Saturday I went down to the Vegas Bowl with his family. Let me tell you, LONGEST game of my entire life! Not only was I deep in cougar territory (although we did have wonderful seats, 2nd row, 45 yard line) but between 10 minute reviews, commerical time outs, and freezing temperatures, it was one LONG game. We left by the start of the 4th quarter. I would also have to say to Jamie, although Utah fans are far from perfect, I left less then impressed with BYU fans as well. Some stupid guy spilled his liquor, I mean gross strong liquor, all over my sued jacket. (and YES he was a BYU fan! Moron!) Sunday I went to church with Kason's family, I felt like I was in a rest home, I think the average age was at least 75. All in all it was a good weekend, but I've been alone through the nights which isn't my favorite. Tomorrow I'm on my way home and can't wait! I'm so ready to be home taking in the Holiday season with my family! I missed my most favorite Christmas tradition last night of The Johnson Progressive Dinner, it was the first time in my entire life I haven't gone. I had my own little Christmas celebration last night, but it just wasn't the same! Family I'm ready to be home with you guys! Tomorrow I will be! CAN'T WAIT!!!

P.S. Amy I went shopping with Kason the other night and told him the miracle that we both witnessed with the Roxy sweatshrit. Well he went back and bought it for me and gave it to me for Christmas, NOW you can be jealous! I got it and I didn't have to pay for it! :) thanks Kason!

HAPPIEST GIRL IN AMERICA!

Have I told you guys yet that I'm loving this snow!? When I heard the were cancelling schools last night I thought, "Oh that means there will be LOTS in the morning!" Not so, MAYBE two inches. (Work wasn't cancelled, boo!) I'm loving this snow! It's putting me in the best mood ever!

P.S. Amy I would LOVE to go sledding with your boys while I'm home!!! I hope you were being serious! (Heidi I would also love it with your boys!) Let's make it a play date! :)

The Man upstairs DELIVERS!

I tried and I tried to take a picture of the snow, it doesn't work. (Apparently Dixie has spirit snow that doesn't appear in pictures.) It is snowing for the 3rd day in a row down here! YAY!!! It's finally starting to feel like Christmas down here, and I LOVE IT!!! I know I probably shouldn't, but I have been praying for snow, and guess what?! IT'S here!!! All the native St. Georgians aren't very happy with the snow, but this little hombre LOVES it!!!

Things that made me smile...

The past 24 hours have been some of THE most stressful of my life. Despite the stress there were a few things that made me smile! Here they are.....
1. I got this little beauty in the mail today! Yes folks you see that correctly.... THE MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL soundtrack! A little bit of heaven on earth!
2. My little Annie, every time I see this picture it makes me smile! I just love her, and miss her so much!

3. Annie (my roommate) legit ate this! It's mac and cheese, hamburger, and ketchup! GROSS!

4. My Christmas cards, the best part is everyones reaction! Along with this, I love that Jamie blogged about me!

5. I'm always freezing at work, so Nicole my co-worker, went and bought me a space heater for under my desk! How nice is that?!

6. This guy! I just can't say it enough, I just really love him! We had really good talk yesterday followed up by a very kind e-mail today! Nothing makes my day's quite like a phone call from him! I think he can sense when I'm having a bad day, and know just how to cheer me up!

This just goes to show that even when things ARE crazy, if you slowdown and look around, you can ALWAYS find good!

-She is responsible for giving me 5 of my favorite people in the world!!!

Update from St. George

I realize that I didn't blog very much through the month of November. So here is everything (ok not EVERYTHING) you missed....
-Brad comes home in 4 months and 3 days!!! YAY!!!
-Most of my family came down for Thanksgiving, and I loved it.
-It pays to pay your tithing.
-Boys are silly.
-I miss my little buddy, Annie.
-I spoke in church and I feel like I did a really good job.
-I got pretty good at Dodgeball on the WII
-I've seen a million episodes of The Unit.
-I went to the midnight showing of Twilight.
-School
-Work
-I finally met Shannon, the latest edition to the Jensen Family.
-I'm losing one roommate, and hoping we don't get another.
-Sushi with Courtney.
-CHRISTMAS!
-Oh and don't forget SHOPPING!

To sum things up, I'm loving life, and I'm loving St. George. I'm looking forward to the Christmas break, some much needed time off school, and away from work. I'm excited for Brad to come on April 11th, and so excited for Hawaii. Life is good!

Yes, I am alive!

So I know I've been seriously lacking in the blog department the last couple of days! I offer a most sincere apology. Life in Dixie is good, in fact it's great! I'm totally happy down here, and feel really good about staying down here for one more semester. I really feel like it's the right thing for me to do!

I've hesitated to blog about this next item of business. I don't want it to seems like I'm unhappy down here in the sightless degree! In fact I have never been happier then I am right now!! (And I mean that!) However it is Christmas time, and I'm really missing home! I miss the family get togethers, a house that FEELS like Christmas, and more then anything..... SNOW! The best part about Christmas is being with family, and that is one thing I'm lacking in St. George. I'm sure it will all work out and it's probably my last Christmas being away from home. So everyone think of me as they enjoy Christmas with their families! I'll be home on the 23rd and will be there until the 28th, so I do have awhile to be home with the family. The only bummer is I come home on the 28th, but no one else comes back until January 4th!! I'm all alone!! Oh well

Lack of time...

I know my blog hasn't been the most fun these days. My life is so busy, I don't even have time to think. Do you know that really over whelming feeling of having so much to do in a very short amount of time, I'm there! I'm so stressed with school, finals, work, money, and finding time to do it all! To add to all of this, I was asked to speak in church on Sunday! Lovely! So I'm sorry for my sucky blog, I'm doing the best I can. Here are a few pictures to recap my life the last little while. There isn't much explanations behind them, sorry, it's late and I'm tired. This is better then nothing. Maybe after next week things will clam down and I'll get back to my better blogging days! It's that time of year again, the Holywar is just about upon us, and I LOVE IT! The Utah, BYU game is more then just a game, it's the tell all of the season. Some would say it doesn't matter how many wins for loses you have for the season, it's matter of winning the Holywar. Red is not just red, and blue is not just blue, those are the colors of your blood! This rivalry runs deep in my veins and I couldn't be more excited for Saturdays game. I think this years it's anyone's game, no one team is superior over the other. The war in full furry at the St. George branch, it's a battle of the U vs. Y. Who will win this year?! What's everyone's guess? Please let me know in my comments who will win and by how much!

The City I love

I am loving this daylight saving business because I love that I catch the sunset as I'm driving home from work. Almost every night they are just amazing, tonight was no exception. Tonight I decided to pull over and take it all in. It only lasted for about ten minutes, but it was ten minutes of sheer beauty.

*Side note I had a wonderful couple of days with my family. I miss them already and I'm counting down the days until they come back!

Thank you Ross Evans!!!

For those of you who watched the game last night you probably just about had a heart attack like I did! it was 4 quarters of Utah sucking and not knowing if Utah was would be able to pull out the win. By some miracle they did, and I think we have Ross Evans to thank! With out him missing not one but TWO ten yard field goals we wouldn't have come away with the win. All I can say is I am so glad I'm not him!! Not to sound to harsh he lost the game for his team not once, but twice! Although Brian Johnson was given the MVP of the game, I think it should have gone to our man Ross Evans!

What has our world come to?!

I don't know who saw the story on KSL tonight about the heat the Church is taking for taking a stand on yes to prop 8. Hundreds of gay and lesbians protested outside the LA Temple today in efforts to prove a point. They were upset because the prop only passed by a small margin due to the money the church members "unwillingly" gave to the church. (so they think!) They now are raising money and for every donation a post card is sent to President Thomas S. Monson letting him know what they think about prop 8. I honestly don't understand why OUR Church is the only one taking heat for this. It makes me so sad to see that our world has literally come to this, it makes me sick. How sad that someone or something that decides to stand up for moral rights is persecuted and degraded. Tonight watching that story I wasn't mad, but my heart just broke. This is a Church and a prophet that I love so much coming under fire for standing up for what is right! I have been so proud to be a member of a church that is willing to stand up for what is right, especially when it's such an unpopular and controversial stand! I hope and pray that the appeal to the California Supreme Court isn't passed, but in today's world who knows. I guess this is the hand we've been delt. I don't know if anyone listened to John McCain's speech last night and I was so impressed with him. I ran for 6th class officer and I lost, I can't imagine how sad John must be! It's was only Park Lane's 6th grade that didn't vote for me, not the entire nation! Here's to living in a free country where we are free to choose! God Bless the USA!

After about two hours I finally figured out how to write on the pictures! Here a couple of the ones I've played with!

There is beauty all around.

Since we switched to daylight savings, I leave work about when the sun is setting. When I walked outside the sky was beautiful. I can't even begin to articulate how beautiful the sunset was. I got in my car and was frustrated because I knew I would never be able to express to anyone how beautiful that sky was. I about crashed 5 times because I couldn't take my eyes off the sky. It was absolutely breath taking, more beautiful then any sunset I've ever seen any where. I finally decided to pull of the road and just look at the sky. I took this picture with my phone and it doesn't even begin to come close to how pretty it really was. It made me realize that being happy in life is about enjoying the small things. Not only enjoying the small things, but taking time TO enjoy them.I also couldn't help but think how much God loves us, he created such a beautiful world with such beautiful things. I have no idea why tonight's sunset had such an impact on me. Looking at the sky tonight I felt completely encircled by my Savior's love, and I was grateful for sunsets!
