In full Swing!

Hello, my name is Brooke... You probably don't remember me, and will probably soon forget me.
My life is officially in full swing.... I'm now working 40 hours (+) a week, and I've taken on 10 credit hours of school. Doesn't sound like much right?! Well that's a math, writing, and a health class! YIKES!! So I'm going to apologize now for my lack of blogging, after work I barely have enough for homework. So sorry my friends.... summer has come to an end, and that means real (busy) life begins. :(

Brooke + Cody = LOVE!

This is a story about my best friend Brooke. She met a boy and fell in love.... Her wedding day was something out of a beautiful fairy tale! Here's how this day went....

We went to the temple to babysit Brooke and Cody's nieces and nephews and to see the happy couple.

There was some time to be killed, this is how it was done.

My idea of a perfect day!

I have been looking forward to today for weeks now. I knew that if I could make it to today, that I've made it! Yesterday school finished, I had my first day off from work in about a month, and I didn't have ANY obligations. Honestly today was perfect, I didn't do anything I didn't choose to do.... here's how my day played out....

9:30 Waking up all on my own... No Alarm required! (First time in about three months)
10:10 Spa time! I got my brows done then my Mom and I got a pedicure. HEAVEN! The finished product! L-O-V-E the blue!
11:30 Shopping at World Market. I found this little gem, it's called the tree of life. I'm so excited about it. While at World Market it we ran into Bill and Andrea fun to see them and get caught up. Ann like my tree of life so much she purchased one herself, hope you love it just as much! :)

12:30 Even more one on one time with my mom at one of my favorite eatery's! Phillie Cheese Steak, SOOOOO freaking good! (Fabulous recommendation Ann!) I loved having time to just sit and talk with my mom, it was much needed and long over due.

3:00 head home, facebook, blog, some quality TV, and best of all a little nap.

5:00 Jensen Hoard here I come! I got to spend my night with these 5 little darlings. They are honestly just the cuttest things, I love them so much. Pizza, free ice cream, Monster House followed up by Fast and Furious. The Jensens sure know how to have a good time.

12:00 Laying in bed blogging..

Honestly today was just wonderful! It was so nice to have a day filled with stuff I only wanted to do. I guess it's good I don't have more of them because I appreciate them even more when they do come around. :)

With that being said.... I choose to make today a good one! :)

My life!

So I continue to suck at blogging so when I do blog I've got to make it count! Hence the reason there will be a few events and lots of and lots of pictures!

Let's start at the beginning! I've moved to North Salt Lake, and yes I'm still working in Draper. I'm working on adjusting and it's a little hard then I thought it would be. But I'm liking it more and more as time passes.

Thursday night was Bowling at Fat Cat's with my friends. It was so fun and the best part, it was only $7 for shoes and as many games as you can bowl! Can you say bargain!?
Friday night was George Strait. Yes, I was the 3rd wheel with these two, but boy was it fun. George sure puts on a good show!!!!

Saturday day brought Brooke's bridal shower. It came together perfectly and it was so much fun to see and spend time with some old friends. It was the first time in months that the whole group has been together. We made sure Brooke got all of the necessities.......

After the shower we hit the pool! Was anyone out side yesterday? It was so hot, so swimming was just what was needed! :)

After a long day in the sun and headed to Cafe Rio for grub, and then off to Draper Days to watch some fireworks!

After a week of being a little bit down this weekend was just what the doctor ordered! I loved having Michelle in town and feel so blessed to have the friends that I do!

Some items of business...

1. As mentioned in prevoius blog, I'm doing a shower next Saturday for my friend Brooke. I'll be honest, I've never done this whole shower thing before. I don't have anything planned as of now. Does anyone have any advice, suggestions, comments, game ideas, food thoughts, anything for a shower?

2. As most of you know, I'm moving in with Jill in her new house. Exciting uh?! I'm going from a queen to a twin :(, which means new bedding.... I want to do something totally different then what I currently have (purple, green, and white). Any thoughts or suggestions?

3. I've been thinking about cutting my hair. I'd do a SHORT a-line. (Justin did suggest a mullet) Thoughts.....

4. Also..... I've been dying to go on vacation. I would be paying for myself, so it couldn't be to fancy. Does anyone have any cheep vacation get away ideas?

That's all. I'm sorry my blog is just lame these days. Work and school takes up 80% of my time, and trust me, I'd bore you to death if blogged about work and school. Although Lulu's twin is my math teacher, so perhaps that could be entertaining.

A photo update of my life!

So I'm back from the dead! Where do I even begin!? Not too much has happened in the last couple of weeks, so here a a few highlights that are worth mentioning.

1. One of my best friends is getting married in just over a month. I'm her maid of honor, so I've been working on a shower for her. Thursday night Amy was nice enough to help me with shower invites despite the fact that she was sick. They turned out absolutely DARLING!!! Thanks Amy!
2. I had a fabulous weekend get away to SG. No work, school, or little children for 5 days! Can you say HEAVEN!

3. I've been able to spend so much over due time with Megz, man I've missed this girl. (Photo taken at a very fun beez game.)

4. This guy... he's the primary reason for the blogging hiatus. We went up to my cabin a week ago for a group date.... talk about a good time! Me, Bridge, and Megz (+dates), it's almost just like the old days!

5. 4th of July weekend! I spend my 4th at the cabin and Oakley Rodeo! Talk about fun! Seriously probably the funnest rodeo I've yet to attened!

6. Of course..... FIREWORKS!!! Gotta love July!!!! :)

So I promise I will improve with my blogging! Hope this update satisfy everyone!

St. Geezy

Oh how I've missed Dixie! Tomorrow I'm gone for 5 days! I cannot wait to be in St. George, St. Geezy here I come!!!!!!

Am I asking for too much?!

So I was reading movie quotes online today. Why, I don't know..... that's beside the point, I stumbled across this little gem....

Anyways, this is what I'm holding out for, is that asking too much?!

Finding a place...

Being home is Salt Lake is wonderful! I love all the time I get with my family and I love the Salt Lake Valley. However I feel like I've had a hard time finding my place up here. In St. George I feel like I knew who I was, I fit in with my friends, I had a job that I was good at and that I loved. Up here I just haven't found my niche yet. I was real with myself and I knew that life would be very different from how it was prior to St. George, however I didn't anticipate feeling like I didn't fit it. I don't feel that way with my family at all, but I do with the people my age. A lot of the girls my age have serious boyfriends, are engaged, or even married.... I however am no where near any of those. A lot of the people my age are also well into their schooling and know what they are doing with their lives, I however don't have that either. I feel like because of my time in St. George I missed out on bonding experiences with my friends, and I'm kind of the odd man out. I want to find somewhere up here that I just fit. I've yet to find that, I guess in essence I'm still the new kid on the block. I'm trying my best to be ok with where I am in life and realize that you only get each stage of your life once. I think back to Jamie's post about it "It won't be like this for long." I know it won't... I know I need to work on finding the good in where I am in life and realized that those things I desire will come... just not in my time!

Each day I strive to do what's right and to be the BEST Brooke that I can be. I don't know where I belong yet, but everyday I look to find it. I know good things comes to those who wait... so I'll wait, and even better then that I'll work on being ok with waiting. I'm doing my best to take everyday as it comes, and to relish in the moment, does it sound like I'm doing a good job?! Don't get me wrong I'm a very happy person, and I feel like I'm doing good things in my life. I just want to find that place where I'm happy and content. But then again maybe it's not about finding that place, but it's about making your life that place. Who knows? What I do know is that someone has a great plan for me, and this just part of that plan!

Gotta L-O-V-E the weekend!

I live for the weekend! I can't wait for it to get here and it just never seems to last long enough! This weekend wasn't anything spectacular, but boy was it fun! :) In a nutshell here is my weekend.....

Friday night after work I headed to Mike and Jamie's (which if I never get married I blame them, who has time to date with them around!?) to watch Miss Annie for the evening! Me being the fun aunt that I am didn't stick to bed time and we had a fun evening of playing together....
Saturday afternoon I met Annie Salmon at The Happy Sumo for some delicious sushi! I just love sushi and I must say that The Happy Sumo is some of the best, if not the best, sushi I've ever had. Annie and I did some shopping and then I lost her to Forever 21... I had places to be so I was off to my next event. Next stop, Trent and Amy's for a "Happy Jacob is in town BBQ".......

Trent and Amy's!!! I love BBQ's at their house, there is always too much food, so much fun, and a LOT of noise!!! The entire Jensen gang was there (minus Mike Neider) and boy was it fun! As always it was crazy, and these pictures don't even do it justice!

My Girl's night with Oaks!

I decided to take Oakley for the night after the BBQ. Boy did we have fun!

First on our list....

A Tea Party of course, which consisted of mini M&M's and water.

Next was movie night and painting our nails. We watched the "Princess Show" (Enchanted) and I painted Miss Oakley's nails....

I let her stay up way to late, once again I'm the fun aunt, we took some silly pictures before it was off to bed. Let me tell you Oakley is one snugly bug, she was right next to me all night!

This morning we got up got ready for church, walked to church, entertained each other during church, came home had a snacky snack, now we are once again watching "The Princess Show." I just love my Oakley and can't get enough of her!

Once again it was a wonderful weekend! I can't believe it's already over. This week brings working two jobs, school, and everything else! Wish me luck! :)

Love is in the Air.....

Today my friend Alicia tied the knot! The groupies and I made it so the reception tonight and she looked absolutely beautiful! She and her husband were just glowing, honestly they looked so happy! Both Alicia and her husband Rick are in my home ward, so needless to say the reception was a ward affair. I cannot tell you how many people if I was next, HELLO!? Do they not realize I missing a very important key, nay the key to marriage?!

It was a lot of fun to see old faces from high school, this is my group of friends (minus Michelle)from high school. Brooke on the far right is the next one to tie the knot in August, who knows when the rest of us will get there... Meagan is my bet after Brooke..... anyone want to wager?!

My best buds! Honestly, I just love these girls! I've been so lucky to have had such friends in life. I hope none of us ever get married so we can just stay friends forever! Ok, I don't really wish that, but it is so much fun that they are still around. So yes, love is in the air..... Rick and Alicia, Brooke W. and Cody, Me and my homes! :)

Yesterday I sat in my car just before I went into work, everything was just fine, 6 hours later when I went out to my car there was a 2 foot crack across my windshield. I don't know how it happened or why it happened, quite frankly I think it's extremely lame! Because of how larger it is, and where it is, I need to get a new windshield. :(

Somethings gotta give.....

Yesterday I went on a hike up to the Bells Canyon waterfalls. Overall it was a mildly embarrassing because I just about had a heart attack at the age of 20. In my defense I did have a cold which made the breathing thing a little bit harder, but I did decide that I am out of shape. So.... I'm going to do something about it. June 13 is our stakes, Stake Family Fun Day, part of fun day is a 5k. I Brooke Jensen am going to RUN it. That means training starts tomorrow, I'm going to get my sorry butt into shape. If anyone is interest in running it with me let me know. It's at 7:00 a.m. on the 13 of June, and best of all it's free! Wish me luck!
